Hi all,

I'm hopefully off to Goodwood Revival Next weekend, but I'm not paying silly money for a granstand ticket, so was wondering if there are any good locations that won't be too busy yet good for photos?

I'll be taking the 400 f/5.6L for the cars and planes, and 17-70 for Parc Ferme kinda stuff.

All the best,

Ben ;)

It will be my first revival meeting so I am also flying blind too, but from what I have been told there are numerous spots around the outside of the track which offer reasonable angles for pics. May be an idea to take something 200ish as you may find the 400 a bit long. Arrive early and walk as much of the circuit as possible is probably the best bet.

It's a couple of years since I was there for the revival, but you will find it to be very busy particularly on the Saturday and Sunday. This will make moving around to different locations difficult.

As for focal length, I shot most of the day with a 500mm. Unless you want to do side on pans, I think you'll find 200mm a bit on the short side for head on track shots.

Cheers,

Simon.
