Are you from MI, too?
I'm wondering why you put very dark ones like IMG_1159 in there?
You might get better sales results if you show a 2X3 crop for 4X6s, instead of a square, no? ;-)

I put everything up there. I did get rid of some aweful blured shots.
I am not sure what you mean by a 2x3 crop instead of the 4x6.

This was my first weekend with digital so I am still getting the hang of everything. But so far I love it!

What trash racing? COME ON!!!

THe only thing is that you cant control where the crop occurs, I wish that could be controled. What I wanted to end up with was a completely untouched photo.

Is there a better way I havent found yet?

Maybe you thought I was talking about cropping the picture? If so, when I said, "You might get better sales results if you show a 2X3 crop for 4X6s, instead of a square, no?" I was talking about the thumbnails for your pics. They're square, which means that some of your clients will think that the pics will be square, too. With part of the car cut off. So make the thumbs look like the finished pic?
Does that clear it up? ;-)

I also shoot a lot of SCCA races and race in ITS when I have the money. In my opinion, it seems in a lot of the pictures the car is chopped off. Some of the pictures are very dark. There are several pictures where the car is out of focus. You have many shots focused on the car door and/or at a strange angle. It looks like you used too fast a shutter speed as the car is frozen - no sensation of speed. Try panning and low shutter speed shots.

I see what you are saying about the crop now. The thumbnails! DUH! The thing about Dot Photo is you really cant create a custom thumbnail picture.

Andrew, you are absolutly right. The one thing I wanted to do is take a variety of pictures, then let others decide and get input. The one thing I noticed about racing for so many years is that most of my pictures look the same. I like the idea of using a lower shutter speed. Thats one thing I will focus on in my next outing.

I am now starting to get back in photography after many years away. We all no with going digital it enables some people the oppertunity to do more and not spend a fortune doing it.

More input the better!
