My guess its one of the Hawks from the QWI excercise at RAF Leuchars :)

Many thanks for the comments folks. I believe the hawk may have indeed come from RAF Leuchars. I'm sure I've seen the same ones recently at Inverness airport. I'm more into photographing landscapes than aeroplanes really but thought this was an opportunity not to be missed.
