Hi guys!
Can anyone explain to me how the eyepiece extender (eg ep ex-15) works? Do you get a bigger view? Can you still see the numbers correctly? I would like to get a bigger view in my 300d.

I was looking at them yesterday. It actually restricts your view by up to 30%. All I wanted was a deeper eye cup so I passed on the Canon extender.

It extends the eyepice back by 15mm so your nose doesnt squash into the rear of the camera and it gives a smaller view of screen by a factor of 0.5
I do use mine occasionally however

I just purchased pne to keep the big Polish nose off the LCD screen. The readings are a tad smaller, but it is helping keep the Polish nose off the screen.

Only downside is that the viewfinder looks smaller. If you are using the D series with their crappy viewfinders, its almosty impossible to MF.

I tried one in a store and didn't get it. The image gets MUCH MUCH smaller in the viewfinder, which is pretty small already, and I don't think I could really use it with the viewfinder image that small.

The view finder appears much smaller. If you wear glasses, you can see all the metering info. Manual focusing is problematic without the extender and the extender makes it even harder, but not impossible.

yeah, why do they put the the eyepiece soooo close to the LCD? I have a flat asian nose and I still have wipe off nose marks everytime I view the image and given that I have a cold at the moment.....you get the picture.....
