Tomorrow I am going on a nature workshop and my friend at Canon promised me I could borrow a tele lens. I will get it tomorrow and do not know which. But he said it would be something special, it could be a 200 mm prime of some sort. He was very secretive about it.

Could it be a new lens that has not been announced yet ?

That's great. I've seen in another thread (can't remember which one) that a 200mm macro is in the works. best of luck.;);)

No thats not it. He said specifically it was a prime.

Yeah, probably the new 100mm f2.8 HIS Macro that's been announced, but not released yet.

Whatever it ends up being, let us know and post a review with sample images. :D

I second that.

What other prime that can use the new Hybrid IS other than the 135L? I hope this will turn out to be true.

Please keep us updated. The suspense is killing me. I am about to pickup the 135 f2 and do not want to be dissapointed if there is an IS version coming out. Thank you.

It was "just" the Canon EF 200 mm f/2.0L IS I borrowed :p
