The weather was pretty bad so I was a little careless with my settings on a few shots. Nothing artistic here either... just editorial. But here are a few from Ground Zero today.

Very sobering. I grew up in NYC. Rain this year makes it seem even sadder. Beautiful shots and thanks for posting so quickly.

I still remember that day. I just had a shower and glanced at the TV and thought it was a movie trailer. After I changed, I saw it again and for some reason it took my brain a few minutes to register that what my eyes were seeing was real. I just couldn't believe it was happening. I'm not an American but I still feel sad and angry at the same time. Well, I don't want to threadjack and talk about ideologies so yeah, I like #3 too. For me, it symbolizes vigilance during these dark times.

Rob, as a fellow New Yorker, thanks for photos.
9-11 always is a somber day. I'll certainly never forget that day.

Well done with the series! Your photos stir up feelings from that day which is good for when a photo brings about a feeling from the viewer, good, bad or whatever then you have done something special. You photos did that with me. Thank You and Never Forget!

agree with everyone. I used to live right across the West side Highway in Battery Park and walked by there every day. It's amazing the things we take for granted, or how easily it just becomes part of the scenery. Thanks for bringing that to my attention, Rob. Time to refocus.

Glad I could bring back some memories Jon.
When I was a kid I worked in the towers for a summer job myself.
When pagers first came out I had an account with PageNet in the lobby of one of the towers as well.
