If this is the wrong place, please move to where it does belong....

I finally broke down and bought a computerized trigger for my flashes to take high speed photos. I got the Cognysis Stop Shot controller and I can't tell you how much easier it made taking strobed high speed photos! Day and night difference, and it is so simple to repeat the same exact shot time after time.

Here's a couple photos from last night, pardon the crappy quality as I'm just linking these from my Facebook since I apparently forgot to upload them to SmugMug.

Drop of tap water into bowl of water.

Drop of food colored water about 100mS after the first two shots were taken.

Now I just have to nail the exposure, angle, and focus to improve the images some more.

Had you compared the Cognysis to the Mumford Time Machine? If so, I'm curious what led you to go with the Cognysis.

I had done a little bit of reading on the Mumford, but in the end I liked the feature set and layout of the Cognysis. The two look like they do pretty much the same things. I'll be doing some more high speed shots this afternoon and testing out the sound trigger. Oh and another reason for Cognysis is they are some fellow Michiganders from da UP, eh! :)
