10D / 20D battery & charger

Does the 10D and 20D use the same battery and charger? I am thinking of upgrading and would like to carry a single charger on the road.

Yes, they use the same batteries and charger.

Yes, they use the same general battery type, BP-511 or BP-511A (the latter has a little more capacity). Yes, they can use the same general charger type, but different ones were shipped with different cameras.

The old D60 got the charger CA-PS400, which had two slots on it. The 10D got charger CB-5L, and the new 20D got charger CG-580. Lots of difference in size.

I purchased another compatible charger that came with an AC line cord/adapter and also a 12VDC cord for an auto socket.
