wedding photography? is the ultra compact flash worth the extra money? does it actually change the speed of the camera so you can take the much picture much faster? or does that depend on the camera itself? anyhow, i was looking at some sandisk and there ultra II 1 GB. was wondering if that's good for a 12.4 megapixel camera? would that be something efficient?

Take a look at this http://www.robgalbraith.com/bins/multi_page.asp?cid=6007

I use the SanDisk Ultra II. Take your choice.

Ultra II is good. You'll only see a small change when transferring the pics to your computer using the newer Extreme SD cards.

It depends on the camera you are using.....
No way an informed answer can be offered without this info.

You mention 12.4 MP?

Not a Canon Camera.. maybe Nikon?
In which case Lexar may be your best choice.

I've been using a the Ridata 80x Pro2 CF and find it to be a great card mated with my 350D, I paid $120 AUD which was about $120 less than what offline stores wanted for the Ultra II!

sorry, just wanted to clearify my original post and that would be.. what would basically be the ups and downs of using microdrives to the traditional sandisk type of memory? and would one be better then the other?

microdrives dont withstand the occasional drop..
CF cards withstand a drop from 10ft up i read somewhere.
plus microdrives are slower..
if you have a canon i would recommend Sandisk UltraII's
if u have a noink i would tell u to take a look at Lexars.WA cards
write accelaration..noinks take advantage of that canons do not
