1000 posts. I hope I've been useful and not annoyed too many people with my "meretricious persiflage". :)
I do try (to be useful that is, the being annoying just comes naturaly).

I think I should probably hang around for another 1000.

"meretricious persiflage"...is it an English thing? I remember when I was in secondary school, the English teacher made us learned all those difficult to spell, pronounce, remember words.

Anyway, I think it's a good thing to have different voices. Congratulations on your promoted status.

It is in English. Its an "I've got a thesaurus and I'm not afraid to use it" way of saying BS. Whenever some gimp throws superfluous pretentious volcabulary at you (kind of like I did) just remember dictionary.com is your friend. :)

Congrats,

Posts like these, makes it easier for replying, and getting closer to 1000 myself. I'm going at a more conservative pace. I left my walking stick at home.

Woohoo! Congrats on your 1,000th post. Now all you need is one more 0 at the end of your post count and you'll almost be caught up with CDS, but not quite. (The C in CDS stands for Calculus...you'll get very close to CDS' count but will never reach or exceed it.)

As post count approaches infinity, social life = 0

   How true, although it should be "social life approaches 0". ;)

   How true, although it should be "social life approaches 0". ;)In calculus, many theories are based on the assumption that 1/infinity does indeed equal zero. It makes certain calculations easier to grasp. That's the corrolation I was making. But you are right.

Congrats :)

//edit: More rigorously... as the limit as n approaches infinity, 1/n is zero hehe. :)
