Nice work. I like the lighting in all three and I think the 3rd one is my favorite.

everything is on the fly at weddings... you really dont have time to pose and shoot.

You know... for shot #3 if you get the chance, next time create some ripple in the water and see how that turns out? :D

Hey, ya did good on these. And I dig your processing.

Hi, if it isn't too personal, may I ask you a couple of questions as I would love to someday take some on my own. I would like to know how many shots you took. Were you always present when the wedding started like perhaps from morning until night. How many shots were printet and at what sizes. Last but not least... the total expense it costed you for the print sizes, and how much did you make from it. Thanks!

Wow that's a lot of questions but ok here it goes.....this was a small wedding i did for a friend i owed him a favor. I was there before the bride got to the place got some shots of her getting ready, with her parents, then some of him waiting and then the rest of the wedding i shot around 600 pics. I haven't printed any of them and i don't think I will, but i did quote a friend once and it was $1,500 and it included this

• Ceremony
• Group Formals
• Couple Formals
• Reception
• 300 - 400 photo-journalistic style and lightly posed traditional, color, black and white and sepia images in a CD
• 30 page photo album (Hard cover, 50 photoshop touched up images, includes CD)
• 16 x 20 Canvas Enlargement
• Online album

My total expenses would be around 350 not including my time being there and the asistant. then the rest is the time of work into the pics.

hope that works for you.

nice to see somebody else uses that 28-135mm. we get some really good shots with it.... however, i can't ever seem to get low light shots with it. nice photos!

I suppose this all depends on what you want to include... for instance... our 20 page photo album alone cost us about $400.

wow that is so expensive? what size are the photos sctbiggs? If that was the cost for Gabe, I don't think Gabe can make it in the business world.

Our 30 pager in that size cost us about 500 with every spread (2 pages) after that costing an extra 20. i am assuming the other guy's "Gabe" is not referring to the same type of album. That is just one of the albums we have. We have some that only run us about 40. There is also a whole slew of different options that fall inbetween those two.

Well it also depends on what type of book you want i sent you a link in the previous post to that Asuka place it's really good. I agree with the low light and that lens but i use the 50 mm for that, sometimes I borrow my friend's 70-200 mm IS 2.8

thanks for the link. checked out and signed up at that site. I'll add it to the list of the 5 or 6 similar places already in use. i'll have to order me a sample or two. :)

have a 50mm on the way and use the 70-200mm along with the 28-135mm mainly. ready to get that 50mm in.
