Here are a couple of photos I took during a visit to the Oregon Zoo this past Saturday (22 May 05). I took all of my lenses with me, but the one I found most useful during the entire visit was the 70-200 f/4. Most of the photos were taken through glass panels or cage netting, but I think they came out pretty good. There are many more, I think I snapped about 300+ photos... I wonder how many will be keepers though. Anyway... I'll post more as I get them PS'd and resized.

I love the second photo of the polar bear!

Here are a couple of the two bald eagles in the Eagle Canyon Exhibit. The eagle in the second photo was less than 20ft away from me. They are very beautiful creatures... if they were in the wild, it would have been very hard to get the shots I got.

Fantastic photos of the Bald Eagle. I agree with you, taking pics of a Bald Eagle in the wild is not easy, but, it can be extremely rewarding.

Thanks, I hope to have the chance to get lucky and get a couple of great pics of eagles in the wild. I have to say that taking photos at the zoo is fun and a great change of pace.
