A trick for using the G3. Put it in 'P' mode, zoom to the maximum, turn on manual focus and then crank the lens by hand to get greater macro ability. Only downside is the lens complains a bit and sometimes gets stuck - but I think the results are OK.

Really nice close-ups. Very clear detail. I think I would have photoshopped the spots out of the flower petals. Just my opinion.

Very good but why on earth don't you get a set of close-up filters?

These are straight out of the camera - haven't had time to photoshop them.
I have got a set of close-up filters, but I find this works better! :)

Beautiful Macros Damian, Boy are you living on the edge, I never would have dared force the lens on my G3, but you seem to have great results. Course when you break the lens on the G3 you'll have to move up to a DSLR. :lol: :lol: :lol:
