A perfect day for gravity racing. Wet, windy, cold and lots of mud. Mont Bromont on Sunday, the first of two Canada Cup downhill races held in Quebec. Conditions were bad and got worse as the day progressed.

Coming out of the woods close to the finish. By now the racers were exhausted and they were coming off dirt/mud onto ashphalt that was slick as, well really slick:)

A lot of racers came out of the woods like this as they met the hardtop.

Sheldon and I were there to capture images of my team who had a excellent day.
1st place men's Senior Elite and 2nd place ladies Senior Elite.
Congrats gang.
Next weekend the circus moves to Mt. Tremblant.

Nice shots dude. At least you kept your analogy to the ground conditions to slick.

:) Oh it was definitly slick - and then some. I am sure his analogy could have gone much firther, I know mine could have. Especially when you consider my mood being forced to ride a bicycle in the cold and wind at the bottom, the monsoon midway up, and the friggin fog and hurricane at the top!

BTW, did you manage to get oneof me in practice in my full yellow rainsuit? I am pretty sure I saw you mid mountain in that steep section when I came through. Plate #38.

Yes, I was part way up the hill. Lazy Ian basically worked from the parking lot where the finish line was. I didn't shoot every racer, way too many of you guys. I'll go through my shots and see if I can find your plate.

LOL Great captures guys.. Looks like it was pretty nasty for biking and shooting... However, Ian and Sheldon do look a little better dressed for the weather....
