Took this pic in between the North peak and West peak (far end) on Mt. Huashan, Xi'an, China.

Holy cow, do they have an elevator to get to the houses?

It would be funny to see the neighborhood kids riding bikes up and down the street or trying to play a game of wiffle ball.

Nice shot George! Apa Khabar?
Is that the place where the best mountain biker was born?

Man, that would bring a whole new meaning to the "You hit it over the fence, you go get it rule!"

What a fantastic place to be!

What is the purpose of the structures?
Do you have anymore from the same location?

very cool place! the photo is a little hazy and could use some slight sharpening. I came up with a version that illustrates how I'd go about fixing those issues. Let me know if you'd like me to post.
I'd also like to know the story behind these great structures!

Was there cafes up there for tourists? It seems a real nice place, not been up to Xi'an yet. Its on my list of places to see in China. I'd love to know some more about this place. Got any more pics?

I will post more pics of Mt. Huashan. It is a great place and too bad, mountain biking is off.

The highest peak, north peak, measured 2086m from sea level. I took this pic on my way to the north peak while resting. It is physically demanding. The sky is very hazy and I couldn't take any decent pics. It is amazing to see how the chinese were able to build buildings on top of the mountain spine, and almost every step is chiseled out of the ground, and it is a granite formation mountain. I stood at amazement at the north peak when looking straight down the step mountain wall. It is beautiful...
