Its a decent idea and pose but it could have been so much better with a bit more care taken at the time of shooting it.
Lots of distracting background elements, cars to the side and multiple things popping out of heads and shoulders which is accentuated by the fact that you shot it at f7.1 so there's lots of DOF, the other camera settings seem a bit random too, ISO400 ?
Despite the above it would have still been a pleasing shot because of the decent pose, but thats spoiled by the fact that everyone is nicely visible apart from one guy thats stuck at the back and all we can see of him is his head...... let me guess, he didn't have a jacket?

hey alan, great capture.
my c&c...
space them wider apart and have a tighter crop to get rid of the distracting bkg.
i definitely like the poses though.

Thanks for the constructive criticism. The men still POP in this photo.
I guess you didn't see the "our" limo drive by. As usual the schedule is late. We had to take more posed photos. We just walked out of his apartment with some guys still showing up. I'd say we had a good 10 minutes.
I was at 7.1. trying to get some of the surroundings to get some of Hastings street in the background. I intensionally did not blow out my surroundings.I coulda easily done that with my bokeh machine 85L or wideopen with the 70-200L. I just pulled my 35L (indoor shooting) off and swapped the lens with the 70-200 and just left it at ISO 400. I dont see a problem till I top out at 1/8000 sec. What a stressful time shuffling guys as we are already quite late.
Took the shots before the "Bus stop" pics I envisioned. I ran across the street as the "Men" stood at the bus stop. I'll post that later. 40+ posed shots in 10 minutes!!
Stressful but good times.
I think I'll do a tight crop version BW snd take that to the lab too. Maybe I'll use my alienskin Bokeh to mimic an 85L too.

That's fantastic... I love the attitude here. Shame about the background but I still think they're all going to love this photo just as much as if it had an OOF background.

Sounds like a typical wedding, time is always in short supply eh!
Just seen the other pic and they all did have jackets so the person stuck at the back who we can only see the head of in this shot looks like a mistake, shame because thats the one thing that not really fixable with the shot.
