Hello all friends:

Anybody ever have 20x24" image developed from 10D? Will the picture come out with a lot of noise? If I shoot a portrait picture in RAW mode will I be able to have a 20x24 picture without any problem?

Thanks
SAS

You can find out for yourself by blowing up your image to 20x24 in PhotoShop, then cropping out a small portion of it (8x10, for example). Then print your smaller image to see how it turns out.

I've seen a 20X30 from a 10D and it was fine from about 3 or 4 feet. There are way too many variables to say carte blanche that you can go to 20X24 without any issues. It depends on your original image and how well your post processing is. Your original has to be bang-on sharp. Given all other considerations are done correctly it should be fine being viewed from a short distance.

I've done A1 prints from my old 300D, from 1-2 meters they look great, but it would depend on the subject of the picture.

I have had prints made upto A0 from my 10D, all I did was simply interpolate the original in PSCS to the required size and kept the dpi at 300, massive file size though, came to over 385mb, saved it to CD and went to a local printer who printed it onto a foam board with a herd plastic front for a 'A' board I manufactured my self for some self promotion. Looked great from only a few feet away.

I recently had a 20"x30" print made (ezprints) from a 10D photo and it looks great even from close up. I can't discern any pixellation or artifacts from any distance. I have to say that ezprints did a great job.

Oh yes. I did a few earlier this year and they turned out FANTASTIC! Looked great from any distance...I was very impressed.

If you can, convert your files to .png and you should be able to go to just about any size. Carefull of the file sizes though, they can get huge.
