This was my first time doing a E-session, and I'm still very new with shooting people. These are very good friends of mine, and they wanted me to take their E pictures. The sun was really difficult to deal with. I thought it was going to be late enough in the day where the sun wasn't going to an issue, but I was wrong. Without flash the shadows were really bad, and with flash the pic'c were really over exposed. I guess I should have had a light reflector which probably would have helped. C&C please.

for your first e-session, and all that other stuff working against you for the day.. i think its wonderful.
You did a great job, and you can really see how much they are into eachother.

ps.. i dont always know if the goalto photography is to have a perfect picture.. because i have seen a ton of these, and sometimes the photo is perfect. but the photographer didnt capture the couple and their emotions.
You did.

Thank You! Yea I much prefer the candid shot, over a traditional correct pose shot. Thanks for the C&C

great. their expressions are probably more important than producing "perfect" shots. I think the shots are great the way they are...
i am sitting at work bored and took 5 minutes to adjust number 5 a tad. cleanded up the background, leveled the horizon, and adjust the curves slightly.
It's just what I would have done if it were mine.

Thank you! It was a preset that I downloaded for lightroom called Ralph Lauren I believe. I changed it a little after I used the preset, but it give pic's that look for the most part.

I am loving these 6 and 8 are my favs. like the post work too. My only suggestion is shoot a few more vertical, I feel alot of pics have arm/elbows cut off(maybe you already did I'm sure this is just a few) but still great work!

Thanks! I mostly take a lot of landscape pic's, so now that Ive been doing more portrait stuff I need to get in the habit of taking vertical shot's. Thanks
