Well I have been kinda bored and wanted to work on my own design and layout using the 960gs. here is the site http://801images.com/801images/

news/contact are not developed yet. Only thing that is done is the front page which will hold all of my information.

Thoughts?

Since nobody has replied yet and always enjoy your photos, I'll give it to you straight ;)

I do not like it at all. Technically it's fine even though I personally think that CSS frameworks that name the divs only for their positioning and not for semantics are defeating the purpose. The problem is the design itself.

You have very nice pictures on your page that convey a certain "mood". But the bottom of the page looks cartoonish and more like a "web 2.0 open source project" instead of a photo site. Even worse, the top navigation looks nothing like the bottom and looks out of place on the page.

A darker background might help and less "web 2.0" style icons (like the calendar or the (i) at the bottom).

Sorry, just trying for honest feedback...

PS: Your current flash-only site also bugs me ;)
