Whenever I attach my slave 580exII on the TT5 trigger the Slave setting on the flash goes away. Is that normal? I cant switch it back to Slave mode even if I hold the Zoom button down.
It still fires but is it doing the power ratio like I want it to via the Master flash settings?

the on-flex flash should always be set to standard/regular/default . . . NOT slave, NOT master.

what you're seeing is normal and is part of how the mini/flex system works. Don't try to set the flash to slave before putting it on the flex.
