I just recenlty bought a used EOS Rebel off a friend (he bought a Nikon). I have always enjoyed taking racing pictures, now I am starting to get better gear. I borrowed a 70-300mm f4-5.6 IS off a friend. He rented a 300mm f2.8 for the weekend. Needless to say, I could tell a difference between his and mine. I am pretty happy with these for what I was using. I hope next year to have a better lens.

These are from Sat practice and qualifying.

I like them all. The second to last is a little flat?

Where were you at on the track. I had quite a few friends there from Ohio-riders.net Wish I could have made it this year.

Great series of shots.

# 2,5,6 were entering back straight. Very big area to stand and shoot. The others were turn 7. #3 and #7 were shot though the fence. I'm mad I did not go to the flat track race this year. It sounded like KR tore it up on the 750 2-smoke!

great framing! I gotta say that gear helps a little bit, at least as far as focusing speed. but to get great shots I'd have to say practice, practice, practice. Try slowing the shutterspeed to get some wheel blur next time out.
And more Nicky, less doctor

It was funny, the Duck was so hard to get in focus. Must have been the red. :)
