Rank amateur snaps from the overcrowded CTEC West spectator point on the Saturday of the Rally. Not PS'd or modified other than cropped.. but used 70-200 F4 with monopod instead of IS!

nice photos mate, i swear you must of been no more then 2metres from me. I was with the guy with the fixed 400mm, i was using the 100-400mm.

so you're 100-400 was was the one that got stolen? (i happened to rent my 70-200 from the same guy in brisbane, who told me the story)

also, looks like i was standing pretty close to here too haha

and, you might remember me from the sunday, last stage at repco(?), was sitting on the fence with my mate, we had a finnish flag hanging on the fence and were asking your friend with the 400 what a good shutter speed was to use

Sure is a small world! I took a few crowd shots as well... so will look through and see if you guys are there... I was on the fluro tape fence on the lower level, (right above the wheelchair area) spending most of Saturday under a couple of umbrellas until the WRC cars arrived.
Sorry to hear about the 100-400... surely wasnt stolen from that spot on the Saturday?
Look forward to seeing some of your shots... as mentioned.. I am a total novice so like to see what the gurus produce from the same spot as me.
