Love my G10 and I need a polarizer for it. A polarizer IMHO is not an accessory but a necessity for any camera. Going on vacation sooner than soon and don't have time to order in the Lensmate setup which I know is superior, so I bought the Canon adaptors. Does anyone have the brand name of a polarizer that will fit the first barrel; one that they absolutely positively know fits properly? At the store I tried a Hoya 58 and a cheapie Optex 58 but the threads wouldn't work on either. Right size, just the threads wouldn't connect. I know I'll get some vignetting but that really doesn't matter because all photos are shot with editing in mind and are put through Photoshop anyway. I'll wait til I return from vacation to go the Lensmate route, but I'm willing to bite the bullet on cost to pick up something else before I go.

Just get any polarizer and hand-hold it in front of the lens -- no adapter necessary.
