We call it the squirrel because this thing is pushing just about 400 to the WHEELS.
Upgraded turbo kit and blah blah blah. $70,000 in modifications have been done to this car, and they sold it for $24,000 out the door.

Gotta love sponsorships. Before they got rid of it, though, I snapped some shots while waiting for my li'l bro to get off of work...

This was built by my li'l bro.

1. It's blocking the front door of the dealership.

2. The SRT-4 is basically a Neon with balls...

3. Sure does have a nice rear end...

Nice pictures and not a bad looking little car either. I would probably ditch the decals and make it look like a little sleeper, surprise a few Rustangs ;) :p

Four hundred horsepower to the front wheels! Geez, it must have crazy traction problems, haha. That's quite impressive, but I don't think it'd be worth $70,000.

Anyway, cute squirrel. I'm with Vetteography, I'd debadge and remove all the bodywork to make it look stock. Then paint it bright yellow. Pikaaa-chu.

Those things are ridiculously fast straight from the factory. Its a bit overdone with all of the graphics in my opinion. I'm personally into the "Sleeper" cars that don't advertise performance goodies, but will still blow the doors off a few Porsches, Ferraris, etc. Over at the Camaro/Trans Am/Corvette forum I am at. we call overly done cars (graphics, wings, etc) "RICERS". I don't know why, but no one likes them at all. I am sure that it'll stomp on many cars worth 10X what an SRT-4 costs.

I HAVE to get some pictures of one of our customer's car. 98 Neon R/T that we swapped an SRT-4 engine into. Wiring mess, quite a bit of work, but it is stupid fast also! Those little neons have lot's of potential! I'll post when I get some good pics. The ones that I took on film didn't come out so well.

Yeah, I agree that I'm so sick of seeing RICER's and Rice Rockets, but this one was made specifically for sponsors to take to shows around the nation... and it sure did tour! By the way, the blue checkered graphics is actually PAINTED on the vehicle, not vinyl!

Awesome paint job!

Crickey i recently worked at a chryser dealership here in the uk and we had nothing like that! The best we had in was a extremely slow 2.0 high torque effort. Mind you we did get a srt-10 just before i lieft. Boy was that scary to drive!

What was your 1/4 time?

we never clocked it at the track officially, but from the gauges we clocked a 1/4 mile at 11.3 at 113mph

dyno slip was 403.3hp / 370p torque, if I remember correctly
