I like it, but I'd prefer to see the frame the same width of white all the way around the photo, and the green parts of the plant as focused as the nearest red bud.

I'm no expert, but that's my opinion.

I agree with Jim. I would like to see the whaite of the frame not quite as wide and the same width all the way around.

I agree with everthing said so far. Also something I learned here but have yet to try is to carry the colored cards for obscuring the background. Your background is mostly dark, but there's some distracting stripes there. Perhaps a black card to obscure that would bring the plant out a little.
