I shot this while walking around the Riverwalk .. shot with a Canon SD1100IS. C&C welcome.

This image doesn't tell a story to me. What was your intention when you took the shot? The person draws my attention. However, he's a small part of the image, he's near the edge, and looking out that edge. It makes one wonder what he's looking at. On the other hand, the railing leads the eye to the stairs. So there's a conflict with what the actual subject is.

The image looks soft, which could be due to high ISO, slow shutter speed. Also, it's not level. Notice that the stairs are tilted.

i love about 80% of this pic. i agree with joedlh that the man, the "new" stairway and the contrast from the dark and warm seating to the green and bright upper right corner distract from what i think the feeling of pic is. i've walked the riverwalk many times and overall this picture captures much of what i remember, so A+ for that.

Thank you both for your C&C. Yes, I know the shot was a bit soft given the circumstances -- sure wish I had had my Xsi with me at the time since I am much better with that than the P&S. It was my first time walking around the Riverwalk, having just arrived in San Antonio late that afternoon. I was playing with my P&S as I had planned to go back the next morning with my DSLR and was attracted to the light and patterns under the bridge. I believe the man was a restaurant worker who had finished his shift .. perhaps he was waiting for a water taxi. I'm still relatively new to photography - being that it was shot with a 8MP P&S on auto/night mode on the fly, even with its faults, I really liked the shot.
