Another simple composite but this time of the moon. Rising moon. 3 layers. Trees, moon and glow. Again using photoshop. The moon was done using 3 shots stich together using my telescope. A Mewlon 210.

Looks nice for art but checkout these MOONSET (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap061104.html) & MOONRISE (http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/apod/ap081212.html) images from APOD . They show a full moon on both ends and yours even tho is nice is still a quarter moon . Do you have a larger image that we can look at ?

Good eye.
Not only it's a quater moon but it's rotated a few degrees. I am not a scientific photographer by any means but a simple artistic amateur photographer. I am allways really impress by Hubble's pictures. http://hubblesite.org/ one can really appreciate the '' outside '' world. I do have a larger image but not right now. I will post later along with the star trail pictures.
This is simple astrophotography 101. : )
Even if thousands of pictures exist of the moon it's allways fun to do and try. To make it different and unique is also fun I think.
Cheers + later

Yeah i know what you mean . I like images like this showing the rise of the moon on the horizon . Caught the Quarter pretty quick cause normally the moon would be 90-degs left rotated . Just hard for me to see good detail in a small image . The moon is really crisp which i reallly like cause it's hard to get a good moon shot with good focus and being sharp .
