Hey All,

I picked up a Canon 580EX II for my 400D yesterday and have to say one of the best purchases apart from the camera itself, only had a quick play with it but wow what a difference.

Kit Lens - 55mm f6.3 1/200 ISO100

Very nice, since it was your first time with external flash and you knew about the harshness of direct flash (forward) vs. the softness of using ceiling bounce! You can move to the head of the class.

Amazing what a difference it makes, isn't it! Congratulations. If I had to start all over I would buy a flash before additional lenses or other accessories.
