Thinking about setting up a Photoshelter site to more aggressively market my red carpet/entertainment/band shots (going to focus on "Canadian acts/personalities)

some questions:

any 'release' issues? public venues, selling to entertainment sites/mags and stuff...

Prices for Limited use sales (again, websites, mags etc...) - any suggestions?

online sales/marketing - any experiences?

Example of contracts and license agreements?

General thoughts and ideas?

First problem ... Canada while many users here are from the U.S., UK with some Australia and other Europe. Us talking about our understanding of our countries law can not be counted on to be applicable in regards to Canada.

Here in the U.S., a distinction is made between editorial and commercial use. For commercial use, you would need artist permission. Also, whoever gave you the passes to shoot the artist [venue/artist/etc.] may have added terms on the pass that restrict what you can legally do with the photos.
