Actually it is the view from the Eastman House parking lot. Here is a snapshot of the garden, this one taken by my son:

Both taken with the S500.

Is there something wrong with these?

Number 1 is crisp and clean. I love the clouds against that blue sky. The building would give the impression of Europe. Exposure is pretty well balance which had to be tough with the dark trees (great color here) and very light sky. Nice job.

Looks like one of those summer storms moving in. I grew to love those storms while living in NY. They also tended to cool it off to a living temp for a while.

Eastman House is quite a complex if I remember right?

Thanks, Titus213, your comments are thoughtful. This was indeed a difficult one, as I hadn't intended to take pictures; I was there for their annual perrienial sale. Hmmmm, that's an oxymoron. Anyway, I was carrying my loot (german irises and astors) to the car, and saw this. I said, "Boy, gimme yer camera!" And snapped of one that was way too dark, and this one with +2/3 exposure comp. When I loaded it up on screen it was still too dark, but a very slight Shadows and Highlight, Curves, USM and a slight bump in saturation, and that's what I got. BTW, the storm was a nor'easter, and we never got it.

Eastman is quite a place to hang. I never made out of the gardens this day. It isn't that it huge, there are just so many places to be, and look. Next time I'll bring the SLR.
