Took this picture while wandering around town. It is untouched, except for the resizing. I am dabbling with Macro photography but find that even when I find a good subject, my framing is never quite right. I can always repair in photoshop, but I would rather not. I'm old fashioned that way, I want the picture to be perfect right out of the camera.

You need to move much closer than you are already to fill the frame and try and get away with maybe the smallest f-stop you can, the DOF, (depth of field) is very important, and maybe either a rlector if want to keep as natural as possible or a touch of fill flash which freeze the slightest movement. The shot you see below may give you an idea of filling the frame, the only cropping i did with this shot was on the right hand side hence why it looks more of a square shot.

With practice you will surprise yourself very quickly. Don't be afraid to experiment, digital is great for that because of the LCD screen, what you see is what you take....!!!!
