Try posting this on the Canon ef and ef-s lenses forum. YOu'll prob get better replies. This is the lens sample photo section.

For me with the body I'm using for "umf" years the f4 is would have limitations. But that is not enough. I'll let those experienced in sports answer you. Good Luck
