Took these pics on a hike up Devil's peak, Cape town South Africa. The wind was so strong it was lifting my backpack off my back (which is kinda scary when you are hiking over something called the "knife edge"!).

Amazing shots!
It does truely look like the top of the world as the title suggests.
The first one, people would swear was taken out of an airplane.

The first is truly the top of the world....Love the sun peeking unto the clouds/fog. If you get time post more.

Thanks for the compliments, they are always great to hear! especially critiques to help refine the art, those are especially welcome.
As for hiking, I honestly believe a man finds his soul when he is in nature. God created us in the wilderness and now it is part of our very spirit. What a priveledge we have as photographers to capture some of these moments :)

What a great experience. Looks very high. A long walk? I''m assuming your walking expedition didn't run into the flat battery monster?

Hi Carzee. This was actually at the bottom of the hike (or rather "climb"). It took only about 10 minutes to get here from the car. The rest of the hike took a few more hours and was much higher. The clouds came in from the sea and ran into the valley(You can see the city underneath the clouds in the second pic), so it looks a lot higher than it actually is. To think I was actually annoyed because it blocked my view of the sea! But thinking back, It was more awesome than a picture of the sea!

Really nice shots Josef! Love the first, but even the second has a neat contrast to it with the silhouette in the foreground and the lighter clouds.

Here is another from the same series, I didn't post it initially because of the lens flare. However I really like this one.
