Hello anybody!
Is there a way to have date imprinted on the pictures from a Canon s230 camera?
I have turned on the DPOF Date setting. And yet I could not get the date imprinted from Wal-mart digitial processing and Kodak kiosak photo processing. Most of the cheap 35-mm point and shoots support date imprinting. Why this $450 plus camera can not have date stamped!
Is there on-line photo developer that supports DPOF?

I would try http://www.snapfish.com. I am surprised that Kodak developers don't support DPOF, considering Kodak was one of the companies that developed DPOF (along with Canon). At my Kodak developer, I do need to tell the developer that I want a time stamp on my prints. If you have a photo printer, and you use Canon ZoomBrowser, you can go to File, then Preferences, then Printing, and check the box next to Date and Time. Now, when you print to your photo printer, it will automatically print the DPOF timestamp on your photo. I hope this helps.

John,
Thanks for the post. Since I do not have the Canon photo printer I will not be able try out your suggestion. I am more interested in taking the CF card to a photo service to develop pictures with date imprinted. So I would like to find out the name of your Kodak photo developer that supports DPOF.

This is the easiest to use Date Stamp software available. I have been looking for something also and Thumbs Plus just was too cumbersome. The cost is realatively cheap and you can download a trial version to see if you like it. Once in the trial version or registered version go to Applications--Time/Date Stamp. You can choose to do all files within a folder so once you download the files you can move them to a folder, then click the Start button. I love to have the date stamp on my snapshots, I paid the $19.00 just to use the date/time stamp feature of this software alone. Also Tech Support for the program is great and updates are free. Hope this helps!

Steve,

I just use a local Kodak processing lab - they're not a chain. Sorry. If I were you, I would check the Yellow Pages for Photo Developers, and call the ones who advertise using Kodak paper and/or digital photo developing, and ask them if their software supports DPOF.

calagold et all- I have been going around in circles trying to find
some place that will put the dates on my prints! Wal-Mart, KMart,
Walgreens, Shopko, several independents, and NONE of them can
help me! WHY? I was pleased to find this forum, just because it
told me I am not alone! If anyone has a contact with Kodak or
Fuji or any of the other companies that have kiosks for use by
the public that WILL do something to help with DPOF, please let
me know. Thanks

I'm afraid I'm not going to be much help to you on this one, but I wanted to let you know that you're probably not going to get much response from the original posters.

This thread was started and last replied to about 5 years ago, and even the most active participant before now hasn't posted anything else anywhere around here in nearly 2 years.

If I'm printing anywhere, I'll submit my shots on-line and can specify if I want anything in particular printed on the back. Sometimes, I'll include date information, depending on what I'm printing. I've never wanted the date printed on the front of my shots, though, so I can't help you there.
