Hi,
This picture is a combination of two RAW files.
I used Photomatix.
As you can see the end result is very bad - the sky looks very bad.
Any idea what I need to do (in Photomatix or maybe other software) in order to make the sky look better?
Thank you.

I know its not what you asked for but this is a cool surreal rendition as is.
I'm only guessing about the effects seen in your photo,
but as far as I know three different shots from the camera
are the minimum building blocks for any decent Photomatix result.

I'd have to agree. It may not be what you were going for, but wow! From what I've read here before, to fix it, you might mask in the sky from one of the more correct images before they were run through PM. I'd guess you would want to vary the opacity of the new layer to get the look you want in the sky.
While you have it loaded, you might correct the rotation a little.

what I will do sometimes is bring in the original photo as a layer mask and bring back the sky and use the opacity to get the desired sky I want so it looks right.

Thank you all for your advices.
I'll try the masking thing.

For me, get the proper sky color and leave the rest... the thing looks awesome!
