I've already asked a few times for some guidance on this subject but without reply.
For the basic operation of this tool, which boxes do I have to have checked in actions for this to work properly?

Brian,
Sorry, sometimes things get lost in all the goings-on. When you run an action, for example LS_D60 "Convert + Sharpen(HQ), you should have the left-hand box checked (this is called the Item toggle). You should make sure the right-hand box is empty (this is called the Dialog toggle). If the Item toggle isn't checked it won't run, and if the Dialog toggle shows a little screen, it will stop and expect lots of input. If you set it as stated above, the action will run all the way to completion with no further action on your part. I'm assuming you know to click on the desired action and then click the little "Play" arrow at the bottom of the Action pallette. Be sure to read Pekka's introductory comments when he announced the download.

Hope this helps, and please say whether this answers your questions.

Dick,

Thanks for your feedback.I was aware about the toggle box etc.but what I couldn't work out was why when you looked farther down the action box so many other post processing items were also toggled and whether all these were necessary- eg. Run User Defined Presets -or whether it was up to the users discretion as to which of these you toggled.

Cheers,

Brian

Those other actions are optional if you want them. I encourage you again to read Pekka's original post with this new version. He explains all of the accompanying actions that you can use in addition to the main conversion/sharpening ones.
