Ok here's a quick poll just to get a sense to what gear is veryone using to trigger their lights. I cannot list every single triggering system out there so I will be only going for the major brands.

There are a lot of options when it comes to wireless triggering depending on your budget.... most of the commonly used and more expensive ones are Pocket Wizards.
There are also the Cybersync and Skyport which are also good and are cheaper than the PW
then there are the Cactus...not so reliable but cheap.

At present either Cactus V4s or Canon IR.
I will be moving to the Radio Popper JrX Studio system once they are available in Australia.

Seems AlienBees are kicking some butt.. wow I thought Pocket Wizards would dominate this poll.. I am an Elinchrom Skyport user myself , but I have owned PW PLus II and Mini and Flex before but sold it all. I got to say I love the reliability of the Skyports and from all the bunch I think they are the sexiest design of all :)

Cactus v4, and they work well for me (using Nikon 2 x SB-24, 26, 28DX and 2 x 80DX).
However, I decided to no longer invest in more receivers (have 3) and just use optical slaves if I need more for now (so I can trigger 6 flashes in total).
I'm planning to upgrade to either RF-602's - which seem to be working well for people - or get Radiopoppers JrX - with the remote power adjust.

I went from ebay triggers to CyberSync's and never looked back. I can't see why anyone would spend so much money on PW's?

I bought PW's because I do occasionally want to have the ability to use ETTL on my Canon speedlite. Most of the time, I am just using them as 'dumb triggers' for my AlienBees, but it's nice to have the use of ETTL also. Also, the build quality is good. To be honest though, I have not used any of the other triggers at all, so I cannot comment on them.
By the way, mindchatter....I looked at your 'rceye' site.....whoa....THAT is some cool stuff ! I'd like to try some of that high viewpoint stuff.....very good !

I don't do too much multiple flash photography. So I only use the built in capability of the 580 EX II.

Voted other.
I alternate between using the 580EX II as the trigger for my 430EX and my cheapo Phottix Tettra radio triggers when I want to trigger both flashguns remotely. Looking to upgrade to the latest Pocket Wizards as the Phottix can't handle shutter speeds beyond 1/100 as well as I lose eTTL functionality.

I primarily use PW Mini, Plus, Plus2, and Multimax for triggering.
I also have skyports but only for controlling power of my quadra and BXRi lights. They also do a great job of triggering but are a little less reliable than the PW, and they can't do hypersync.
