Hi

I wish to be able to just give people a link for them to go view my work online, quickly and easily.

I don't want (and don't have the knowledge) of building a webiste.
So I considered many online 'hosting' solutions.

I don't know if it's possible, but I just want one frame with a menu (about, photo, video, contact). Four categories, four pages.
Small thumbnails for photos.
HD (Vimeo quality) video display
Nothing fancy.

So far, searching around this forums, I see that the potential solution is Zenfolio.
unfortunately, they don't allow videos.

Anyone have something to recommend ?

Thanks!

Smugmug Allows video :D Here's an example page from my site so you can see how I have it set up. Actual layout will be different for a starting user with no customization. There is an "easy customizer" which will help you get your page looking how you want it, and the good folks at dgrin.com are always happy to help.

Keep in mind those shots are not in HD, but Smugmug does support HD video. To get an idea of whats possible, you can also watch Vincent Laforet's "Reverie" on Smugmug

Thank you very much!
thats an awesome gallery and it's very beautifully presented.
(and rewatched that 7D footage that I saw on vimeo last weeks :) )
is it possible to have a dedicated 'video' section, like the 'gallery' tab?

one more curiosity: to do customization to match the layout I want, do I have to know about html or css or jscript. because honestly, I suck at coding and coding pisses me off

As I was saying in my first post, they have an "easy customizer" which is pretty much a user interface, should be able to do with you want. If you want more customization theres plenty of HTML and CSS threads and are simply copy and paste, along with plenty of people willing to help.

As far as having a video section, yes its very easy. You would simply make a gallery, and simply make the gallery hidden so the only way to access it would be from a video link in your nav bar. It makes more sense once you get used to the layout of how things work.

Trust me when I say this though, Smugmug has a ton of features to offer and it might be a bit daunting at first.

Hope that helps more

PS, it was 5D footage :D
