Hi All, I have recently bought some Lee ND grads. They come wrapped in tissue paper and in a sort of wallet. I haven't yet worked out a good way to carry and use these in the field. The wallets aren't much use for protecting the filters from bending crushing. I haven't found a good way yet to get the filters out and on the camera and off and stored away again without getting fingerprints on them or risking scratching.

Can anyone lend me the benfit ofthe experience with using these filters?

I use this for the filters http://www.amazon.com/Adorama-Slinger-Filter-Rectangular-Filters/dp/B0002E1S2S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1253312205&sr=8-1 and I have the Lee holder which came with its own pouch.

Edit: maybe I misread your post. Are you wanting example pictures where ND Grads were useful?

I had the adorama, but hated it. I now have the ->Lee (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/141612-REG/LEE_Filters_MFP_Multi_Filter_Pouch.html)<- and I really like it.

I agree with Doc on the Lee filter wallet. A bit expensive but, it holds all my Lees and Singh Rays without issue.

so do you guys just slip the filters into these wallets "raw" so to speak, or do you wrap them first... they seem so damn delicate?

Yes. You slip the filters in the nice velvet sleeves. I've been using these for years and I haven't had any issues. No need to wrap them. :)
