The company that I work for full time has asked me to shoot all of their new doors and decorative glass for their brochures and websites. Does anyone have any tips or tricks on how to tackle such a beast? I have both a white and black seamless backdrop; with my company leaning towards a white backdrop. I have 3 different flashes that I could potentially use to light this. My main concern is the glass. I need to make sure that the detail of the different bevels and camings "pop" while still capturing the full unit (up to 3' wide and 7' tall).
Any ideas on where to position the lights, etc?
I hope this was the right place for this; I could not find anything to throw commercial stuff in.
Thanks in advance.

Tripod.
Low ISO.
Slow shutter speed.
Clearly some light should be present, even in the case of static subject, the important thing is avoid light reflected on that items.
So no frontal light.
Bounce light.

shoot it back-lighted. And maybe some fill to see the frame.

If I were you I would Order the book...Light Science & Magic, third edition
They have a whole chapter dealing with glass (32 pages). That way you will understand how to get the effect you want.
Pretty Decent book...
