Here are a few motorcycles cruising down Cedar Avenue here in Minneapolis, MN. I had the nice warm fall evening light as all the scooters headed south on the road. All shot with 70-200mm with 1.4TC

I think #5 is my favorite. It has the cleanest background, decent sharpness and has a good view of the riders face.

Man you guys are a tough crowd, I shot these at 280mm (70-200+ 1.4 TC), throw me a bone would ya. :)

I will keep working at it, hopefully we will have another nice day when the motorcycles will be out before the snow flies.

Nice shots. Not a gear **** but a cold chill runs up my spine when I see someone without a helmet. He is geared up pretty decent, pants, boots, gloves and jacket, but doesnt wear the most important piece of protection

Ahh, yeah, a Fat Boy. Great shots. The passing BG vehicles are a minor nuisance.

The 70-200 is the best moving vehicle lense out there. You can stop the vehicle with the shutter and go wide open for shallow DOF or knock the shutter way down for the panning. The distance from subject keeps the vehicles mostly 100% in focus, vs. close up wide angle pans that get a little funky under 1/50. A DSLR w/ grip + 70-200 2.8 + 580EXII feels perfectly balanced in your hands.

I love the beaches along Lake MI in Indiana when I leave MI. I can cruise the 25mph lake front neighborhood roads without a helmet. The only time I ever consider it. :o
