Thank you Cyclop - it's really great to have so many interesting sites so close to home...I'm not sure I'll ever run out of things to photograph.

Both are great shots, with a very different feel to each bridge.

Thanks Calicajun. Both shots are of the same bridge, just angle and processing change.
It's a strange contraption - a lift bridge on I-5 through Vancouver. Big battle going on now over a replacement that is going to cost $4+ billion. Most of the city of Vancouver could retire on the study fees alone.

Both look over processed in my eye but that's me ... I wish there was more contrast between the bridge color and cloud color in #1. Thankfully the cloud and tree movement is enough to create some visual contrast.

Thanks for the comment jetcode. I know the first is over processed or excessively processed. I didn't really thing the second one was.

Is that the bridge between Vancouver and Portland? I have always been the driver and never had a good chance to look at it as we've gone over. Neat pictures!!

Cool images. I like the look of both shots. I agree with the contrast comment between the clouds and bridge in #1. A little close, but cool none the less.
$4 billion huh? Well for a messley $1 billion more we got us a new airport back in 1995 here in Denver. Hate to think what it would have cost today.
That will be an expensive bridge!
