Ok, since Brian and Lester asked about focal lengths, I decided to post two more pics with different focal lengths on the 17-40. These were done with just one tube (36mm). The quality is not super and the lighting sucks a bit (I am still waiting for the ballhead I ordered for my flash) but they are taken at focal lengths that are shorter than 40mm. These shots were sharpened a bit, exposure was tweaked, but no crop. Of course, the working distance on these shots was super tiny, I have incredibly unsteady hands, and I had to wait a long time to find a grasshopper that would not just hop away while my cheap flash was taking its usual 4-5 seconds to recycle... Anyway, here are the pics:
