Hi
I'm going to purchase EOS 300D digital camera. So I was just wondering what lenses fit on that camera.
Is the lens from normal Film Camera SLR EOS 500 alright for the above digital one or not/
Please help

Welcome,
Any EF lenses you have for an EOS 500 will work fine with the 300D.
One word of warning - these forums may induce Lens envy! ;)

Just got my Canon 300D about a month ago. Forunately I had lenses from my Rebel film SLR that worked, a 75-300 zoom and the standard (forget now what it is)
My first "every day" lens I picked up is the Tamron 28-75 and I haven't looked back. Vey sharp, good contrast and vivid colors, a value for those who can't afford "L" like myself.
Looking to get a true wide angle next, still researching bang/buck factor.

You can't beat the 50mm F1.8 from a bang for your buck perspective - you can pick up a new one sometimes for around $60. Great portrait lens - nice and sharp and FAST - F1.8!

roberto007 ... it all depends what and how and where you want to do your shooting and what your budget is. A lens can go all the way from super wide to super telephoto and there are probably 100's to choose from. The 50mm II should be in everyones kit bag as it's super cheap and great quality, but beyond that you need to tell us about your photography preferences: close up, wildlife, people, buildings, aircraft, whatever, and how much you want to spend.
Good camera choice BTW ...
