I am too inexperienced to comment on the technical aspects of your shots....but I love the 1st one. It evokes so much emotion. Great job!

Thanks so much! it was harder than i imagined. i think i spent the first week not even TAKING the pictures, but reading the manual to become familiar with what did what. i'm still sometimes not that sure. nailing exposure is the hardest thing so far. you should see all the outtakes!

Great photos.
I particularly like the first, it uses the nautral light very well.
Her top and the window are a tiny bit over exposed, which you could easily fix with photoshop.
But other than that, I really like it, especially as it's more of a candid rather than a posed shot.
Great start, keep up your good work.

Bruce...i love that flower! it's actually mine but i let her wear it for the photos. i have to come up with new things to make it more interesting for her so she's willing to be my subject....thanks again!

They're both excellent although I prefer the first one, but that's just me. I LOVE photos taken by windows, if they're done right the natural light coming only from one direction can add so much depth and emotion to a picture and you've done it just right here! Good job! :D

They're both excellent, I love the first one... I'm a big fan of natural light, and the lighting is perfect.

Thanks so much all for the feedback. it is really encouraging because i can't really just ask my friends for CC. all they say is, "it looks great."~but can't get any better if i don't know where to improve. will be heading to the beach today for memorial day weekend (destin, FL). hopefully i'll come back with some good shots! thanks again all!
