LumoPro LP120 on the hot shoe

Can I use this flash on the hot shoe of my 1000d? I understand it is a manual only flash.

I used to use it on my 350D to trigger other flashes. I think both cameras share the same hot shoe design and sync voltage rating so I would think yes it would work.

Thank you that is helpful. I guess most hot shoes are universal? At least for the simple functions like, um, flashing.

I am going to get this flash soon.
