S45 lens barrel replacement

Last week I bought an S45 here in London and only today managed to drop it causing cosmetic damage to the lens. Have taken a few shots and can't say for sure yet but it seems to be working fine. There is a slight hairline crack in the plastic of the outer barrel where the smaller barrel was forced back into the larger barrel sideways, so I had to use a little force to dislodge and straighten the smaller sliding barrel.
Does anybody have any idea how much it would cost for Canon to replace this lens barrel combination. The electronics is working fine.

Did you use a credit card ?, if so, how about the 60 day insurance ?

Already taken care of! Did ring Canon repair agents and they refused to give me a quote over the phone for lens replacement, weird!

I'm pretty sure for liability reasons, the factory service and tech support people are not supposed to guess how much a repair might cost. They will probably have to look at the camera to accurately give you an estimate. Hope this helps!
