Dozens of girls!

The other night my son came into the house and said there were a couple of hundred teenagers in the park across the street. I started to hear lots of cheering and shouting so I grabbed my camera and went to check it out.

One of the local high schools has a yearly girls football (Powder puff football) game at this park. It was very high-spirited fun, and after speaking with some of the adults I found out it's a long standing tradition for this school.

The light was fading and the action was fast, so many of the action shots were blurry. Here are a few shots of the girls .... I hope they convey the fun!:lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Big John, I don't have any suggestions, but I think you captured some girls really having fun. If the lighting was getting bad, I think you did a great job. They do look like they are having fun. I'm sure there was a lot of movement, and with poor light that can be difficult. Thanks for sharing with us.

Thanks for the feedback folks! Ellenphant, looking at this in black and white, I can really see why you like it this way. I am always attracted to bright colors (like a moth to the flame!) and I forget to experiment with other approaches.
