Got to meet Bloo Dog today, nice guy! It is always cool to put a face to the names you read day in and day out.

I rarely see posts about get-togethers (other than Charlesu's awesome classes) on this forum.

We should arrange some Photo safaris and get some folks together to take some pics, swap tips, anecdotes and other tall tales.

That's a neat idea. I doubt that I can attend any being on the other side of the pond, but still it's a good idea.

Of course anybody that passes over here, please give me a PM, an email or smoke signals !!! :D

Well, it's a bit difficult, since the members of this forum are spread out over the whole world.

I did meet some people of a local (Dutch) photography forum the last few weeks, last time was last Saturday, we went to a zoo with 17 photographers: http://jesper.fotopic.net/c550872.html

Congrats on the meet. Couldn't have asked for a better person to shoot with.

Tim and myself will probably meet one day. (when you come up mate ;)

And the other Aucklanders, several of them, are all great guys it seems. :)

I've already met V6Goose, at Whenuapai Air Show, when I met the back of his head, and made a comment that I saw a guy with 100-400L, (happened to be V6Goose, which I had NO idea. :D), so a few weeks, later, at the V8s, he got one back at me.

I'm guessing people at the zoo were quite curious why there were so many photographers there! Must have looked quite funny... :)

Nobody lives near me. I am the only Canon shooter in Houston! At least that is how it seems sometimes.

Once we all have our P.O.T.N. OpTech straps :lol::lol:(you do have yours on order, make sure to give a little to pekka as well), then impromptu meetings will start to occur, we should get a sticky for photos of members meeting each other.

Howdy neighbor! I'm from Charlotte as well. Is Bloo Dog local too? We need to get together some time. I know I could certainly use the help. I don't really know anyone else around here that is in to photography.

btw... first post! I love this board... finally got inspired to post! :D

Bloo Dog was in town visiting friends and he stopped by to drop off the lens where I work.
