World's Slowest Nissan Skyline R34 GT-R: Rear-Engine VW Powered
1. Known as the Nissan Skyline GT-R buggy, this car has a rediculous high-water stance since the car was specifically built to have a high clearance and be able to make it down a stair case. It was used in the scene where Paul Walker took the staircase shortcut in the movie.

2. Where is the legendary RB26DETT? Mid-engined RB26DETT?

3. Lets take a look in the back. It is powered by VW motor!

I was at SP yesterday also, my pictures of this car were badly exposed (well the engine shots were at least) i'm still new at this.
Nice pictures.

I'm a VW guy and a JDM guy...and that is just wrong...I'm glad it was just a stunt car.

Assuming this is from the most recent movie, I remember sitting in theatres going "there is no way a slammed skyline would make it down that."
These are very well exposed shots.

I'd swap out too if mine had to go down stairs.

I can understand them using that arrangement since the mounting is very simple, and the cost would be very low all things considered. No cooling system to plumb or engineer, and a decent drive axle arrangement with such a good variety of wheel possibilities right off the shelf.

why would anyone do this? not cool Bah, it's not like it's a classic. Forty years from now this car will be a niche cult classic at best. Anyway, setting a car up to handle stairs IS cool! :D

guys i hope you all realize that this wasnt an original GTR to begin with... it was the most basic skyline around ... it was a GTS non-Turbo that all the GTR panels where put on ... so nothing was wasted i promise

None the less, it is still a Skyline GTR....body or whole car. Sorry, but that is one of my dream cars to own, especially the Blue R-34 Skyline, it is just a beautiful car. I hate some of these movie studios that do this to cars, and especially for a rare car such as the R-34 V-spec..
I just wish that they were not $80,000 + for them, they are way too hard to find and when you do they are soooo expensive.
I am a exotic car fanatic and when I saw this my jaw literally dropped.

i guess reading is difficult for some people.
THIS CAR IS A PROP CAR FOR A MOVIE! ALL THEY DID WAS PUT A GT-R SHELL ON A VW BUGGY. NO REAL GT-R WAS HARMED.

Understandable, but there is no reason to shout.
I was just sayin' prop or the real deal, it is still the basics of the car that is the envy part of it.
Going in stealth mode and just reading again....seriously, there are just times that it does not pay to post your comments
Cheers... :eyes
